Social Networking?
You can help drive traffic and build interest in your site by adding social networking to your online business building skills. When building an online business, you obviously want to learn how to build a website that is beneficial to your visitors and benefits from the search engines listing your site to be found, but social networking can generate immediate traffic to your site - while you're waiting for the search engines to find your site and begin the ranking process.
One of the key elements to being successful online is finding ways for your readers to get to know you better and trust the information they receive from you.
What makes you unique? Why should they listen to you rather than anyone else? Who are you "really"?
By adding social networking to your routine, you can help people know you better - hopefully like you - and trust you when it comes to doing business with you. Until they know you, like you, trust you, you're just words on a page.
Get out there and socialize!!!
Online Social Networks
Facebook
Connect with friends, co-workers, family, others with the same interest with Facebook. This site allows you to network and share with people you know - and those you don't!
You can share as much about your personal life or business life as you like here...join groups with likeminded individuals to expand your resources of information.
I probably spend more time here than any other social site because I like keeping in touch with old classmates. Feel free to add me as your "friend" if you like! I'd love to learn what you're up to!
MySpace
This site is another one where you can connect with people, but adds blogs, bulletin boards, music...(sometimes I log in just to hear my favorites that I have saved there).
I'm new to this site, so I'm not quite as active here - but again, feel free to request to be added to my friend list.
Twitter
What are you doing? Twitter is simply a site to socialize and tell people what you're up to! There's not a lot of personal profile information shared here, but you can certainly see what others are up to and communicate with them if you choose to.
Follow me on Twitter!
